Dr. A. Lincoln James, Jr. was called into the Gospel Ministry in 1967. He received his public school education in Chicago, Illinois and continued his studies in academia at the North Park College and Seminary, also of Illinois. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, he pursued his calling further at the School of Theology of Virginia Union University, which conferred upon him the Master of Divinity Degree.

 

Dr. James believes in being an example of humanitarian endeavors and several communities have honored him for his commitment to the community. McKinley Theological Seminary of Jackson, Mississippi bestowed upon him a Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree and the Baltimore Seminary and College honored him with the honorary Doctor of Humanities Degree.

 

Dr. James presently serves as the Pastor of the Trinity Baptist Church of Richmond, Virginia. Prior to being called to Trinity, he served as the Youth Minister of Greater Bethesda Baptist Church of Chicago, Illinois, the Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Kilmarnock, Virginia, the Pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church of Petersburg, Virginia and the Pastor of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Prince George County, Virginia.
